Business Skillsets

Discover your natural strengths in business

About This Assessment

This assessment synthesizes decades of validated leadership research including Yukl's three-factor taxonomy, Gallup's CliftonStrengths data on 250,000+ leaders, Kolbe's conative styles, Wickman's Visionary/Integrator model, Lencioni's Working Genius, and Belbin's team role research.

By measuring both natural aptitude ("this comes easily") and intrinsic motivation ("this energizes me") across 50 core business skills, it reveals not just what you're good at, but what you can sustain.

Your responses map to 10 distinct Skillsets organized into three buckets: Starters (who create momentum), Scalers (who build systems), and Sustainers (who maintain relationships and continuity). Research shows these orientations rarely coexist. Gallup data indicates opposing traits appear together in less than 0.1% of profiles.

The Skillset Quadrant then plots your results to identify where to lean in, what to delegate, what risks burnout, and what's worth developing, giving you actionable insight into where you fit and who you need around you.

How It Works

Rate yourself on a scale from 1 to 10 for two different filters, each tied to a specific skill.

1This is easy for me

You don't have to force it. While others struggle or need extensive preparation, this comes naturally to you. You pick it up quickly, execute it without exhausting mental effort, and people have probably told you you're good at it even if you didn't try that hard.

2This energizes me

You finish doing it and feel more alive, not drained. You'd do it even if you weren't paid to. Time disappears when you're in it. You voluntarily seek opportunities to do more of it, not because you should, but because you want to.
